Ashe

Ashe, a Princess among her people, is a direct descendent of Avarosa - one of the three legendary sisters who each claimed dominion over the scattered tribes dwelling in northern Valoran. Mirroring her ancestor's unparalleled mastery of the bow has earned her the title of "the Frost Archer." She hopes to earn enough influence and favor to end the civil strife her people are suffering from.

Fiddlesticks

Once, a powerful rune mage from Zaun known by the name of Istvaan fell prisoner to the old ways of magic and stepped further and further outside the rules of conduct in the League. He sealed himself inside the easternmost summoning chamber, practicing the most forbidden ritual of extra-planar summoning and thus summoning Fiddlesticks. Unsure what to do, the Council devised a use for Fiddlesticks: executioner on the Fields of Justice.

Kayle

In a world far away where an ancient war still rages, Kayle was a great hero, destroying evil and fighting tirelessly for her people. However, her rebellious sister Morgana, a pariah amongst their people, has suddenly gained new powerful magician allies who threaten to bring Kayle and her people to their knees.

Ryze

A mysterious mage, Ryze has travelled the world, seeking wisdom from powerful hermits, witches and shamans while studying the ancient form of spellcraft known as thorn magic. Fueled with vast arcane power due to the tattoo spells on his body, he also travels with a giant indestructible scroll on his back that contains a secret only he knows.

Summoners are allowed access to two Summoner spells during any fight in the Fields of Justice. Choose from a myriad of strategic choices including: healing your Champion, damaging opposing minions, teleportation and several other game-impacting spells. Unlock new spells over many games as you level up by fighting in battle arenas.

Runes can be used to augment and customize a Champion's fighting abilities. You can acquire four types of runes, each with a different color and usage: glyphs which are magical ability Runes, marks which are offensive Runes, seals which are defensive Runes and quintessence which are powerful all-purpose Runes. Unlock more runes and rune slots as you gain levels - giving you an almost endless variety of builds and combinations for whichever Champion you choose.

As a Summoner, you will be able to focus your intense magical training into three specific categories – offense, defense and utility – which are collectively known as masteries. As you gains levels of power within the League, you gain Mastery Points to allocate. In order to use more advanced masteries, you will need working knowledge of a lower level mastery. Masteries may be changed before each game to better suit the type of Champion you wish to control in the battle arena.

Summoner's Rift is the oldest and most venerated Field of Justice and one of the few locations in Valoran where magical energy is at its greatest concentration. In modern times, this battleground is known as the ultimate proving ground for any aspiring Summoner. Designed for 5v5 combat, traverse down one of three different paths to destroy your enemy's nexus and victory is yours.

The Twisted Treeline is one of the League's newest arenas and as such, still quite the mystery to most of the League's competitors. The misuse of magic has warped the verdant environs of the Twisted Treeline into terrain with a bizarre, alien-like visage. The map features faster paced 3v3 action due to its two lanes/two forests layout, more neutral monster camps and plenty of opportunities for team fights.
